I was looking at some of the friends list ideas, Ive had a few of my own. I thought Id place all of the ones that seemed useful in one post.

-Thier class and secondary visable

-An icon that shows beside the persons name when they are not in a town, (they are on a quest or mission then, and therefor probably busy.)

-An icon that shows that they are in the same place and district as you.

-An ingame mailing option for people busy on missions or not logged in. (Players would be notified when the entered a town that then have messages)

-The ablity to select a friends name and they become the selected target if they are in the same place and district.

-Hover your cursor over friends name and it tells thier location and district.

-The ablity to place friends in created friends list folders.

yeah i agree with these there needs to be some action taken to implement these.

Any of these would be nice along with a mailing system similiar to WoW's and a Auction House identical to WoW's and more buildings in towns for recreation and hangouts in which u can sit down like in WoW.

Mailing and Auction ingame? No way not in a game without monthly pay. Such things need maintanence and more server side work.

Location Ingame and what District along with level and class/subclass would be nice.

Also: "Last time logged on" (exactly like in the guild menu) would be nice.

If your correct Yonjinj, then maybe these things are asking a bit much. But youd have to admit, mailing and ingame auction housing would help out a whole lot.
Maybe the Anet team can pull off another mircale to make it possable! If not, then I will have faith enough in them to believe that its not that they dont care to improve the gaming experance but that there are some things that are too impractical to pull off.

I was going to make a topic suggesting this till I saw it was already done. So I'll bump this up. We need locations and lvl/class in both friends list and guild list. Also we need a way to see alliance members.

all good ideas i agree but are we asking for too much? this is a free game like stated above..things like this take time and ppl

i like the ideas but i dont think any of them will ever be used

hey all,

One of the most annoying things i find with the frieds list is once you have 80+ people on there it becomes pretty dificult to remember who is who on there. I would like to see the ability to be able to add comments next to people on your friends list. i.e pvper, seller etc.

I have to agree with Tetris. It was one of the ideas I've had from playing GW for so long. If your Guild window tells you when the last time someone logged in, why can't your friends list do the same? I don't think this is asking too much. Being a programmer though, I know it's not as simple as it sounds though

As to some of the other stuff, it might be too easy for some wackos out there to "stalk" certain characters if they always know their locations. Class and level though, ya, it might be nice.
